OOM - Tequila Sunrise, Tequila Sunset....

Clementine's Milliways apartment looks like a hippie gift shop. There's a hookah, pillow-strewn couches, and a bunch of oil paintings of her dressed up in metal bikinis brandishing a sword.

She points at the sofa, tells Sam to sit down, and sits opposite him.

"Want to tell me why you have two names?" she asks.

"Well, I won't lie they are truly nice, and I do see how they could be a guys best friend. But if they never get to your eyes they are missing out, and if they don't look at your face they are really missing out."

He would never suggest, It might be because she leads with them...

"I am sure that they are just lonely and need new friends."

She snorts at "a guy's best friend." "Or man's favorite throw pillows." She has such an ambivalent relationship with her breasts; she loves them, she's unashamed of them, but sometimes they're too damn much.

Clem moves a little closer, now that the air between them is clearer. "How do you do it, Sam? You know how to make me feel better in two seconds without even breaking a sweat."

"I don't know, I just speak the truth and a little charm, But mostly truth. Charm can only take you so far and it seems to leave you when you most need it so you better stick with the truth."

"I can't picture you as the lying type," she confesses, even though he obviously is.

They get a little closer, and she tentatively leans against his shoulder.

An arm wraps around her slowly as he kisses the top of her head.

"Don't picture me as any type. I don't fit in any mold that you've ever seen."

She sighs into his chest. Damn it, she was all prepared to be mad at him and he's being nice.

"Good. I don't like molds."

Clementine doesn't fit into any herself.

"You really don't mind staying the night?" Most men would, if it didn't involve sex.

Sam licks his lips slowly." Do I get to snuggle with you all night and watch you sleep?"

She kisses his dimple. "Yep. Do I get to hold on to you?"

Sam thinks about this. " Don't see why you wouldn't if we're going to be snuggling holding goes hand and hand with it. Like Pretzels and beer."

"Good." She gets up, maintaining a light grip on Sam's hand. "The bed's in here."

She's said that in tones far, but today's knocked her for a loop and sex is for once the last thing on her mind. She has a 'date' with Dangle tomorrow, and he's her absolute last-ditch option when it comes to dads.

Clementine's bedroom is rather lushly decorated; the hippie gift shop motif extends to batiked quilts in various shades of pink.

"You've never told me about your family. Where did you come from?" Nice, unsexy thoughts as she takes off her heels and earrings.

Sam looks at her and then smiles.

"I'm from Michigan and Southern California I went to high school in Michigan and played football. I have a mom, dad. Had a dog when I was little."

Clementine smiles at that. "Sounds like a white picket fence deal." Hers was rather not, but she won't talk about it unless asked.

She finally lets go of his hand to unbutton her blouse and get off her pants. Her underwear is shockingly non-revealing; a camisole and some panties that aren't nearly as revealing as her usual set. And that's all that's coming off tonight, Sam, sorry.

He smiles and then shrugs as he takes off his jacket and then his shirt then his pants. standing in his undershirt and boxers. he's okay with that for now...

"Yeah only the fence as mud splattered a bit."

Clementine appreciates him silently; he has a nice body. Solid. She can imagine him at twenty hauling a sub-automatic machine gun around. Instead of dwelling on the whole sex thing, though, she's distracted by what he's just said. Sitting down on the bed, she looks up at him - he towers over her in this position. "Really?"

He smiles and sits down beside her sometimes you make a statement by using your size this is not one of them. "Yeah, me and the neighborhood boys had this game called base mud. you play baseball with mud balls if you it it it's a home run if you miss strike no balls or fowls in this game."

She's around 6'1" in heels - tall girl with showgirl legs. In stocking feet, she comes up around his shoulder. His confession makes her laugh. "You got a spanking for that, didn't you?"

"I had a lemonade stand." It's the only memory she has of her childhood that has any good connotation, and even that's tainted.

he smile and hten wraps his arm around her and then kisses her cheek and smiles: Yeah I did. And I had to repaint the fence again" Yes he said again.

"I like lemonade."

She laughs into his neck. They need to get horizontal soon, or she'll find a way to fall asleep sitting up and in his arms.

"It was mostly instant. I was ten." Clementine does not cook, sadly.

Sam then lays her back and then carefully slides the blankets out from under her as he then lays down with her and covers them.

"That is good too. It's really good with a touch of cherry mixed in."

And Vodka...

This is nice. Really really nice. She automatically cuddles up to Sam and buries her face against his chest. "Mmmm. And a little booze." That right there is proof that he's her man, though neither of them really know it yet.

Same smiles then kisses her cheek slowly" mmmm yeah true I am sure of that and we'll try that some day enough you can put it in the freezer and slush it."

"I never tried that." She's from Reno; things don't stay cold there for long. The kisses are soothing, wonderful. She suspects that the only things she's never tried in this world will be the ones she tries with Sam.

Sam holds her. "It's nice and refreshing we'll do that some day or ask the bar for one how's that?" He whispers.

"Sounds...great." She's starting to fall asleep on him. It's been such a long damn day, and he's so comforting and warm.

She barely knows him, but she knows that. It might be all she needs to know.

Sam holds her and rests his chin on her hair and then rubs her back slowly and humms slowly. It might be 'Tequila sunrise' But he's trying...

She knows that song. She's tell him what she thinks of the Eagles sometime but now....right now she's going to sleep in his grip again.

He hasn't noticed the tattoos on her back yet, but he can read her life there. And one day, his name will be the only thing there.
