It's late.
Probably somewhere past midnight, but she hasn't really noticed the moon's movement. Normally, after a good screw she falls right to sleep, but she's lying there instead, smelling Sam's skin and listening to him breathe as the night wears in.
So she lies still and lets time pass.
She can't even remember what month it is anymore.

He whispers. He's been in over his head before and he's always found a way out or the out was left for him but this time he's falling and isn't looking for the safety net or parachute

She mumbles it instead, into his chest, hopefully where he can't hear it.
"Don't leave me." She's asking things of him she's never asked of a man. It's sort of scaring her.

She leans into the kiss, feeling his skin against her. It's a dreamy feeling, kissing him half-awake; timeless, classic. "I've left plenty of men before." She leans into his neck. "But not you." Never him.

"I don't want you to leave me. I don't want you to ever leave me. I don't see my ass ever leaving you."
Ohh if they only knew.

Clementine never did learn the words to that one. "Good. Then stay." She burrows against the solid warm softness of his chest and starts to drift to sleep.
