OOM - Test Thread - Miami- "...So this is Michael?"

Miami isn't everything Clementine imagined it might be. It's a little grittier, a little less tropical, and there are lots of chicks running around in bikinis. Too much competition.

She stretches and yawns as she lies in the bed - the in Sam's words, "borrowed" bed, the one belonging to the as-of-yet-unseen "Mikey". The loft is spartan, but comfortable.

Breakfast is on her mind when the door opens, and she tenses in Sam's grip.

Michael looks down the neck of his bottle of beer a long moment before looking up at his friend, utterly barefaced.

"Is there a point in it?" He asks in serious tone.

"Yes, honestly. If you have a problem or think she's a real threat I should work on that."

"They're always a threat, Sam. What do you even know about her?" He narrows his eyes, looking away at nothing in particular. "Do I even want to know how much she knows?"

"She knows nothing, I'm not stupid. Clem is interesting and I don't think she's a threat. For one I'm no totally sure her world is real and could effect us."

"Seems real enough." Michael shakes his head, "You better watch her, Sam." He looks him in the eyes again, punctuating his statement. "After that bad information, you'd better watch your sources too."

"Okay, Clem is easy enough to handle. Tell me about this bad info."

That has his more worried because honestly he can ship Clem back to Reno for jobs

Michael scans the room again, looking for any sign of anyone that may be interested in what he has to say. Without managing to look like he was doing exactly what he was doing, he mutters towards his beer; "There were three guys waiting for me at the hotel. One was the guy you said your guy said had the information I needed to get." He licks his lips and takes a long swig. "All three wounded, one critically. One trashed hotel room and I'll never get the residue out of my shirt."

Sam then looks at him and the look on his face is not happy. if one was happy and ten was raging his face is about a twenty, people do not cross Sam Axe, They do not make him hurt his friends. Heads will roll. They could be as holy as Swiss cheese when he gets done.

"I'm sorry man. I'll take care of it."

"I'm sure you will, Sam." He sighs, picking up his sunglasses and once more slipping them on for atmosphere more than anything. "In the meantime, we're back where we started and questioning anything the informant has given us."

He inhales sharply, letting it out with a slight groan, "Anyway - there's more to the story with the girl, isn't there? Doesn't seem like you're just biding time."

"Yeah, I really like Clem."

His mind isn't on Clementine, It's on how much danger are they in and what will he do with this new information.

"She's not rich."

While most would think that's kinda funny between these two it will mean something.

Michael knows all too well that when things go wrong it creates a bigger rift than any woman ever could. "Right." He nods slowly, "Kind of..." He goes to take another drink, only to find he'd emptied his third. "Well, you know."

"Yeah, I know. It's complicated she gets me more then a lot of other women have. I won't lie it started out as a hell she's hot and had skills and then it grew."

See Sam blush.

Michael nods, the corner of his mouth turning up slightly at the thought of Sam Axe put on the spot. "I'm sure it did."

He looks towards the exit and asks; "So, what next? Ride on a unicorn?"

Sam then squirms a bit and then looks at him. "I don't think there are those. Or I've not seen them yet. But who knows would you ride one if you could?"

Michael shrugs, "Until this afternoon I never thought I'd drink in a bar that doesn't actually exist and happens to stop time. If we're hallucinating I better ride a damn unicorn."

Sam laughs. "Okay that sounds fair to me. Maybe we'll meet Jimmy Hoffa this could be where he ended up."

Michael casts a sidelong glance at a small child with a dragon and what looks like a man with the legs of a ram. "It wouldn't shock me at this rate. I'm tempted to look into real estate."

"That could be nice. I think that Harry Potter comes here. Now how does that work?"

He looks over at Mikey with out moving his head.

Michael chuckles slightly, and then shakes his head. "You can catch up to her if you like, man... don't let me hold you up."

Sam shrugs." It's okay I'll catch her again soon. Don't worry about it. absence makes the heart grow fonder."

He nods again. "I don't know what our next move is, yet." He gently taps his fingers against the table, and then divulges; "It's looking like I'm going to have a job in a couple days, waiting on the details before I approve it but I'll probably need your help if you're up for it."

"Sam, yeah Mikey. I'm always up for it. What is it going to be surely you have an outline for it."

Michael nods slowly, gesturing for a fresh set of beers. He waits until they're delivered and he's taken his first long drink before answering. "Short con, flying out to Boston for two days, meet a guy - distract a wife, pick up a briefcase full of cash and fly out. Supposedly no guns, no cops, and no catch."

He snorts into his beer with another long pull, "So we'll probably end up having to blow up a building and steal a car."

He smirks in to his beer. "You got that right brother. So is the wife my job?"

I mean really who better to distract a wife? "We cab;t take c4 on a plane they frown on that."

"Quite true." He laughs, "Not sure what the cover is, still waiting on that part." He offers a slight shrug, "Like I said, though... chances are it'll go to hell like it or not."
