OOM - Test Thread - Miami- "...So this is Michael?"

Miami isn't everything Clementine imagined it might be. It's a little grittier, a little less tropical, and there are lots of chicks running around in bikinis. Too much competition.

She stretches and yawns as she lies in the bed - the in Sam's words, "borrowed" bed, the one belonging to the as-of-yet-unseen "Mikey". The loft is spartan, but comfortable.

Breakfast is on her mind when the door opens, and she tenses in Sam's grip.

She bites back a snicker. "Washoe County. Reno. Nevada." She kisses the back of Sam's neck. "Hand me my dress, sailor?"

Sam then hands her the dress and then stretches out as he looks at him. "What was wrong with the papers man." He gets up and gets a beer out of the fridge and leans against the bar.

"Reno? Hot damn, Sammie's getting around." He cracks a too-wide smile as Sam dips back towards discussion of topics best left away from sensitive ears. He turns to face his friend, showing just the slightest bit of his teeth - more of a grimace than a grin. "We can talk about the papers later, Sam... it's taken care of." He clips his words, once more turning back to the woman.

"You're pretty far away from Reno, Miss. Sam must have had a hell of a time talking you all the way out here to get the tour of my bed."

Sammy does indeed get around, and that's the way she loves him. "We didn't have a long trip. Sam's told you, right?" She looks at him and eyebrows again. "He's worth the ride."

He drinks his beer, there was a time and a place when would want tell her to just shut up this might be one of them. he then looks at Mikey to nod that he got the hint as he rolls his shoulders.

"I see, and It wasn't exactly all they way like that."

Michael quirks an eyebrow and approaches the bar, not yet stepping around the edge. "Well, I've heard he's one hell of a ride."

He watches as Sam slams the brew, a bit too unsettled for his usual routine. "I see, so you met halfway?" He chuckles slightly, cutting it off when he realizes he's the only one laughing.

"What are you getting at, Sam?"

Clem chokes. She's not surprised Sam has a tendency toward TMI. "You could say that."

It's Sam's turn to explain. Have fun, honey - she'll be digging on the floor for her shoes.

Sam really does want to hit her now or he's half wishing her had told her to shut up. It would have to be easier then this.

"NO we met at a bar at the end of the universe." He gives Mikey that I'm not shitting you look. It's serous and he's not bluffing about this.

Totally not taking anything Sam says seriously, despite the 'on the level look' Mikey steps to the fridge and retrieves a cup of vanilla yogurt and well placed plastic spoon. Waiting for the punchline, he peels back the lid and takes the first bite.

"What, some shithole in Texas?" He smirks, "I always assumed the universe ended in East Texas."

See, Sam? Clem loves you so much she'll step in and rescue you here. "It's called Milliways. And it's literally at the end of the universe." She straps on her heels. "They have great beer."

Sam nods. "She's right, I mean that. If you want you can totally go. I'd be willing to show you. And I wish Texas would be easier.":

Michael raises an eyebrow, certainly sounds like a load of shit, and as much as Sam's pretty good at talking a line - he seems to be serious enough about it. Besides, who makes up a name like 'Milliways'?

"I don't know, Sam... I'm not really in the mood to travel. I'd kind of like to take a shower and wash my sheets." He shrugs, tucking into the small cup of goodness. "How far are we talking, here?"

"You can do that there. Full service laundry in the back." She's kicking her feet in the air, making sure everything looks all right. "Sailor, is my thong all covered up?" she's double-checking but the skirt's pretty short. She came to Miami for a REASON man. "He said end of the universe and he means end of the universe." Sticking up for him now, isn't she?

Sam then nods: "I go to Carlitos to get to the bar and I got you something man": he then nods to the bag form Target with fresh new sheets in it.

"But you go there and time stops her you have all the time you need to rest up. Oh, you're fine Doll."

Okay, now he's really confused. Michael looks from the bag, to Sam, to Clementine, and then back to Sam - finishes off the last of his yogurt.

"You two ate the ceviche, didn't you? I told you it's a bad idea to eat raw fish from that place." He shakes his head, pacing towards a reasonably clean pair of jeans he'd left out. "But I'm game for a round at Carlitos if you are."

"I don't eat raw fish," Clementine points out. She eats CAVIAR, it's a crucial conjunction. She pokes Sam. "Want to take him, Sailor? We might blow his mind."

"I think we can handle it and let him see the place you can't explain it with out him seeing it." Deep breath. " I can't do anything nice for you Mikey?"

The thought of Sam Axe managing to do something nice for him is just the slightest bit unnerving after the events of the previous couple days. Shaking his head, Michael slips out of his dirty trousers and into a pair of comfortable jeans, and then a black short sleeve shirt.

"So, new bar - lead the way." He shrugs, may as well humor them.

Clementine grabs her purse from the floor and fixes her hair. "After you, sailor." She eyes Sam appreciatively the whole way down to the car. She's still wary of Michael, plenty wary.

Sam then adjust his shirt as he opens the door for Clem and then looks at Mikey and grins. "Okay, but when you realize I'm right first round is on you buddy."

Isn't it always? "Yeah, sure." Mikey cocks a lopsided grin and slips on his shades. "Lead on, sam."

The ride doesn't take long - and Clementine, who maybe saw Carlitos for two seconds before Sam swept her off to bed, peers around as she falls into step behind Sam and Michael.

"Do you guys hang out here?" She has a favorite dive back in Reno - one she'll show Sam someday - and it's not the one she works in.

Of course it is Mikey, but it's being said out loud this time"You will see man you will see."

He then walks and the door says janitor he opens it and in they walk to the end of the universe.

Be amazed Mikey be amazed.

Mikey is stunned for a moment and, stumbling in behind Sam and Clem - scanning the unfamiliar territory. It was... pretty damn unfamiliar.

"What the..." He whispers, slowly doffing his shades. It's really all he can think to say.

Clementine is going to be smug about this - if only because Sam is there. "Don't step on the waitrats," she instructs, sashaying inside.
